I don’t know what the Mamas & the Papas were singing about but I had a great Monday.
Taught my classes and had a very nice discussion with class participation in one them (the other was a test so they were quiet). Made myself some lunch. It was delicious.
Once again I was able to drive out to Snowbasin and ski before I had office hours. Monday might be the day to go. I did five runs and only had another person on the life/gondola with me once. One some of my runs I was the only person on that part of the mountain. Because of lack of snow and business, they still only have the same few runs open. They funnel to the same end, but the higher runs are empty. The lift the opened this weekend stayed open, so there is that. I do love having 37 degrees and sunny, but it was a bit slushy out there today. It would be nice to get some snow this week, but it looks to be the same low 40s and sunny until Friday. Snow forecasted for Friday, Monday and Tuesday. As always, still more skiing than in Chicago. And on a side note, I talked to my neighbor for a few minutes today. Look at me, talking to people. What what?
