Two more great days of skiing this week. Warm, sunny, packed/groomed snow. It was ideal. Because I went Wednesday and Friday there was also little or no lines at the lifts. 90% of the ski I skied right onto the lift. Once or twice I had to wait 5-10 minutes, but that was only for the gondolas.
Earlier in the month they open another lift and Friday they opened a second new lift. I’m not able to ski on the whole mountain. Friday I spent about 50% of my runs on new trails. Good stuff.
I was a wee bit bummed when, on a new lift, I had the choice of two routes and I took the wrong one. I could take a black (hardest) or a blue (intermediate). I chose the blue but looked back at the black as I was descending and realized I could’ve easily done that one. I’ll do that next week.
Mostly I stick with blue. Next week I’m going to start trying out more black runs…at least on Tuesday and Thursday (Fri/Sat/Sun I’ll be skiing with my wife…we’ll stick to blues/greens and lots of hot chocolate breaks 🙂 )
