Welcome

Mirror Lake

We spent a few hours today at Mirror Lake.  It was our first time there, but we will go back a lot.  Gorgeous!

We won’t just go back to Mirror Lake, we’ll go for all the hiking trails and lakes along the route to Mirror Lake.  So much to explore back there.  The Uintah mountains were spectacular.

First we walked around the lake.  I had read it was colder up there (10K ft) but still didn’t tell me wife.  It was 60 degrees and she was cold.  I loved it.  Sorry.  It’s an easy walk (I won’t call it a hike).

After that we went stand up paddleboarding.  It was still on the cool side, but the sun was nice and it was too glorious up there not to go.  We paddled around for 40 minutes and packed up for home.

Unfortunately, except for some cows we didn’t see much wildlife.  I’ve seen a bunch of deer out here, but I’m still hoping for another moose sighting.

As usual for a trip out here, we hit the Mirror Lake Diner for lunch.  Hit the spot.
