A bit of a gripe today. This should be obvious but I keep running into this problem. Everyone isn’t good at everything. Duh. But, that doesn’t stop people from trying everything.
What do I mean? Authors have a skill in writing stories. That doesn’t mean they have skill in narrating their own audio version of the book. The skills of a narrator aren’t the same as an author. That should be obvious but the last two audiobooks I’ve listened to both had the author read them and they were not good narrators.
That’s it. Just because you can do one thing doesn’t mean you can do everything.
