Last weekend I stayed at the Verb Hotel in Boston. I loved that place.
It’s a rock n roll-themed hotel (former HoJos). The inside is decked out in rock n roll memorabilia and each room has a turntable and mini Marshall amp speaker. The rooms have LPs in them and you can take more from the lobby. Best yet, the albums were almost all in my wheelhouse. If you don’t want a regular room you can stay in an airstream outback!
They have a bar/restaurant attached. We ate breakfast there each morning (included). Both mornings they had live music. The first day was two girls (college students) and the second day was just a dude with his guitar. The lobby has a coffee machine (hot and cold) and two guitars (electric and acoustic). I got to enjoy my favorite pastime of embarrassing my kids by playing the electric guitar while we waited for an Uber one night.
They have a nice pool area. We didn’t use it this time, but my wife used it the last time she was there and spoke highly of it.
I will definitely stay there whenever we visit my daughter….and/or go to a Red Sox game since it’s about a block from Fenway.
